Framingham Youth Basketball

History

Framingham entered its first team in the Metrowest League in 2010 under the coaching of Raul Matos and Eric Jenkins.  The two pioneered the program that would become Framingham Travel Basketball by entering one 6th grade boys team.  The program then grew quickly as the Metrowest YMCA served to co-run the program which then blossomed to 14 teams by 2017.  Due to limitations in funding, gym space, and other resources, the YMCA was no longer able to run the program which is why Framingham Youth Basketball, Inc. was formed in 2018 to better serve the Framingham basketball community.

Coach Jenkins is still heavily involved in training many players through his individual workouts and mentoring.  Coach Matos runs a spring, summer, and fall AAU program that provides additional opportunities for players to further their skills.  Framingham Youth Basketball is appreciative of their vision, leadership, and continued support of Framingham Youth Basketball.
